Offshore Fishing in a Word Good
Offshore Fishing Hot Spot Oregon Inlet Offshore for good catches of dolphin, 2 wahoo (including a 49 pounder) a few yellowfin tuna and blackfin tuna. The fleet also had good catches of white marlin (8-10 per boat).
Ocracoke OffShore Fleet No report.
Hatteras OffShore Fleet Excellent catches of dolphin (bailers/gaffers), a few wahoo (including a 52 pounder) and yellowfin/blackfin tuna. Also at least 2 billfish were caught/released (sailfish and blue marlin).
Oregon Inlet OffShore Fleet Good catches of dolphin, 2 wahoo (including a 49 pounder) a few yellowfin tuna and blackfin tuna. The fleet also had good catches of white marlin (8-10 per boat).
Broad Creek OffShore Fleet No report.
Pirates Cove OffShore Fleet Dolphin. Also at least 51 billfish were caught/released (50 - white marlin, 1 - blue marlin).
